I'm sure everyone here has either had or known a horse who has got out of a rug whilst every buckle is still fastened up.

The weather was awful yesterday so my horse had a MW full neck on and a rainsheet over the top whilst he was out all day. I got to the yard about 5.30 to see him stood with just his MW on. The rainsheet was dumped in the middle of the field with 2 velcro neck straps, 2 front buckles, 2 surcingles and crossed leg straps still done up.

In my 18+ years of being around horses, I've never seen it being done. How do they do it?!

My TB hates being rugged, I caught him taking his fly rug off, he pulled the chest forward and down till he could stand on it, then wiggled out backwards, scaring himself silly, I often see him pulling at his TO's but they must be too heavy and just get ripped

Love that post 81.....

Not a rug, but escapee from paddock. She worked out where the fault in the electric fence was, then the lowest part of fence, got over fence without knocking post over and went straight to apple tree. Then had the cheek to walk straight back to the gate as if to say "it wasn't me, I didn't do it!"
