Hound assistance; I raise hounds, other day I observed a large amount of blood in stool, it was bright red and lots of it,hound would not eat , threw up once, went to vet exploritory surgery, intestine swolen stomach full of blood, nothing stuck in stomack, intestines ext....hound home now and coming along slowly ,,al vet could say was serious bacterial infection ? Hound I thught would be deceased , but slowly coming around...anyone have any ideas,,and her kidney count should be 1.6 it is 2.8,,,on antibiotics , and pain medicine, home for two days now/I am worried to put hounds back in same pen or keep feeding the food ,,,vet stated if not bacterial it looked like rat poison cause blood was not clotting,,,hound not loose to get poison any one can help , my email is gasconhound@hotmail.com
