I am plucking up courage to try a hound exercise meet with the East Anglian Bloodhounds. I have been assured that I can go without jumping but am still a bit unsure.

Does anyone hunt with them who can tell me what it is like?

I've done two seasons with the EABH. You do not have to do any jumps when carrying out hound exercise. Its slower than normal hunting, more walk, trot and canter. You do not have to gallop if you would prefer not to. If there are some jumps, the master will take us over them but you have the option of following the hunt secretary or one of the other hunt members if you would prefer not to do them. EABH is very friendly, they take care of first timers so go and enjoy yourself... ps keep an eye on the meetcard on their website for the dates.

Thanks for your reply - I am having some jumping lessons as my horse loves hunting and jumping but I am a complete phobic about it.
