If you rode your horse into your local High Street today, in 40 degree heat, put a 100 kilos on its back and left it there for an hour, I think you can be sure the locals would go nuts at you and take matters into their own hands. But if you’re the Household Cavalry, apparently it’s fine - it’s ‘tradition’ blahblahblah….
It’s ridiculous, it’s cruel and it’s completely unnecessary is what it is.
