How adjustable are fish inserts in Thorowgood saddles?

Hi,

As title really! I don't know much about them but do they go up a saddle width? I'm very confused.

They can only make the saddle narrower, not wider. In order to have a degree of adjustability, you need a saddle taht, when without the inserts is a little too wide. You than use the smaller of the 2 'fish' to make it narrower. if the horse gets wider, you can then take it out, likewise if he gets a little narrower, you replace it with the thicker 'fish'.

Hope that makes sense. Defo not as adjustable as those that have assorted gullets.
