you make an appointment for someone to come out to your horse, and they then keep you waiting all afternoon. I made a booking for my back lady to come out to my horse 2 weeks ago, text her last night to check what time - she says after lunch. No problem says I. Get a text this afternoon at 2.30 saying she's running late - no sh1t!

Am now STILL waiting. Getting more frustrated as times go by - I could have been out and ridden the pony earlier this afternoon if she could have just said in the first place that she was going to be late afternoon. aaarrrghhh!

That is annoying, I don't know what it is about horse people, but they ALWAYS seem to be running late....unless of course, YOU are late - in which case they are 10 minutes early and not happy as you've made them late

That is true - but being an absolute hater of lateness I am usually 15 mins early. The thing is if I knew it was going to be 4pm for a show I would have been out on the pony. As it is now its piddling it down with rain - pah!

I hate it when that happens.
When I had the saddler come out I was sat waiting for 2 hours, was horrible weather and very cold!
The horse got so bored, untied himself and did a runner!

i used to have to wait for my farrier for hours at a time in all sorts of weather - he was always late. it was horrible as my horse was kept in a field in the middle of nowhere and i had to wait all by myself. and then... one time i was late and he went mad!!!!!!!! that was the last time i used him.
it is sooo annoying when you have 1001 other things you could be getting on with.

She did finally turn up - and she was very pleased with my mares progress and how much more muscle she has built up over her back and round her pelvis (which was mainly the problem).

The other annoying thing was that it was the last day of my holiday today, and rather than going out to do something nice (like going out for lunch) in the end I have done nothing but hang around for her pretty much.

She is very good when she gets here and definitely helped my girl which I am eternally grateful for.

It annoys me when the likes of back people / vets / farriers think that they don't even need to apologise for being late. I appreciate that they have all trained hard to do the job that they do - but at the end of the day, they need us muppets to pay them for what they do to make a living. We are bloody well employing them for a service - they should provide for the prices they charge!

Sorry - rant over

I sat there for 3 hours once for the farrier. He never even showed up.. the next time I waited 2 hours and when he finally arrived his excuse was ' I couldn't find your house' It's right in front of a famous church ffs!
I waited 3 hours for the vet on several occasions, which is HORRIBLE!
I have waited and been shown up by several riding instructors..
