Been offered 2 Iberians, I've got a part Luso currently who has been amazing but he wasn't the easiest when I got him as a youngster - very sensitive and sharp (ended up on the floor a few times in the first few months until I got it under control!). My question is, these horses are unbacked - in general how straight forward are they to back? Obviously it depends on the individual but just wondered if in general because they are normally quite a sensitive breed, perhaps I should do things differently like allow a lot more time to do things with them for example than your bog standard 'normal' breeds?

Just back my Lipizzaner... does that count as an Iberian? ;) Well anyway on the ground he cant be pretty awful but on his back he is so much better, I just thought ****** it one day and just hopped on and he was fine, takes most things in his stride, has a pretty big buck on him but easy to sit to.

Worst thing he does is; say there's different coloured grass up ahead he will turn on a sixpence and then stop but that's it :D

I'd say he was pretty easy tbh :D

Pretty similar to other breeds - no bother at all really. If they are hot then they will start getting sharp a little later on (once you've got the basic stop, go, turn aids), it doesn't usually affect the backing process too much.
