Following on from a previosu post of mine, I am interested in some sprenger stirrups from the safety angle, but I am curious as to have they are 'safe'...is it the angle they are at? Lots of safety stirrups have a bit that breaks away bit these don't...any experience?

Do you mean the bow-balance ones with the curvy edge? I have some of these and they are soooo comfy. I have bad knees, and these really do absorb the shock of riding

I'm never certain about the safety angle of stirrups - I've used all sorts and never got my foot stuck when falling off - but I might just have been lucky I guess!

yes, the bow balance ones. I was looking at the peacock ones but they aren't suitable for adults, and I haven't heard great things about the bent leg irons. I'm hoping to get them for my young horse and want the xtra safety angle!

I believe that if you look on their website, there is a test section. I haven't read it, but would assume it would show the stress lines, etc.
