So I posted a while ago looking for some advice on what to feed my ex racer who was starting to lose a bit of condition. I had the vet out to do his teeth - apparently they were the sharpest he had seen in a long time and might not have ever been done :( bless him!
I started him on Alfa A oil, Chaff, Spillers Conditioning Cubes and sugarbeet. Can certainly feel the energy change - sparkle without fizz? Ha!

So this is a few weeks ago...

Apologies for the terrible pictures from yesterday it was getting dark and his hay was far more interesting than me!
Any tips to help on getting some top line appreciated :D

He definitely looks better - well done! I would get rid of the chaff though. You're feeding chaff already in the form of the Alfa A Oil, so more chaff is just a bit of a waste. I would add some corn oil into that to up it a bit more, and to get his coat really gleaming.

I'm afraid top line just comes from work. Lots of hill work, lots of trotting poles (raised are best for top line) and time. It'll come. Good luck, he's beautiful!
