before you get a professional?

i`ve seen a advert for one of Kelly Marks lectures near me and they are advertising for horses with problems like clipping, loading etc to get in contact with them to be used as demos.

now my horse is pretty bad at being clipped. you turn the clippers on and she jumps around like a mad thing but eventually calms down. she sweats when she is being clipped and although she is kinda ok being clipped on her neck on her belly she is a nightmare as she is quite ticklish

so i was going to apply but do you think she is bad enough? i know this is a highly stupid question but wasnt sure wheather they would want really bad behaved horses or do you think it would be worth applying as she is "bad enough?" i`ll shut up now

Usually you will find they want horses that although they initially react badly they are clippable in the end otherwise they would not be able to finish the demo. My horse is dangerous to clip even fully sedated and I have put him forward for Monty roberts several times (I had a monty roberts person come to work with him and she said she had never dealt with a horse so bad to clip and she didn't seem too keen to come back for another session!!) but he is never chosen and I put him forward to one of the magazines but they wanted a horse that they would be able to clip in the end. Anyway try it and see what do you have to lose?
