what size pony would you get for a first ridden for a 3 year old??

I would defiantly not go over 12hh, upto 11hh should see them through many happy years together

Shetland ideally. My DD is 6, she still looks small on an 11hh she rides.

My daughters first ridden was 11.2hh when she was a very small 6yrs. She was still tiny on it - it died after 2 yrs but it would have lasted her till she was at least 10yrs!!
