How big my 2 year old cob will get

Hi all, just posting for a bit of advice. I brought a 2 year old cob colt and was told he would make 13h+. He is only around 11h currently and a lot of people have told me I’d be lucky if he gets any bigger. Is he likely to make what I was told?

got mine at 2 and a half and she went from 13.1 to 14 hands now she’s four and still growing

If you want him to be be bigger you need to geld him asap as that will keep the growth plates open for longer. But no, I wouldn’t expect 2 hands of growth not, you'll be lucky to get another hand

off topic but I had to have one of my colts gelded at 1 week old for medical reasons. Both his parents were 16.2 and he is now 17.3.

He will be getting gelded so I do hope he will get bigger!!

I'd be expecting him to fully mature at around 12.2hh but you might get lucky and squeak 13hhs. Leaving him entire till 2yr old will have reduced his final height.
