Frank ( my avatar) was 13.2 at 6 months, hes now approx 16hds at 3. Reckon we could get a little more growth but not much.My others where all very similar and they topped out at 16.1/2

We have a yearling thats now over 16hds, she was 14hds at 6months god knows how big shes going to get, her friend was 12.2/3 - expected to mature about 15hds

How big are the dam and sire ?

Mine was about 13hh at 6 months and is 15hh now at 3. I think he will end up the same height as his dam- a fraction over 15.1

My foal is now 6 months old and about 13.2hh , Dam is 16.hh Sire is 16.1hh
but my foals full brother was almost 16hh at 2, I am hoping mine will be about 16 -16.2hh but bloodlines on both sides have some big horses so could get bigger - It will be interesting to see in a few years time :)

Dam is 15-15.1hh and sire is a 15.3 but the sire himself isn’t at full height and is still growing at 3 and also his dam has been know to throw larger foals

Mine was 13hh at 6months and he’s 15hh at 32 months. I’m expecting him to top out about 15.2 max hopefully. Not fancying having to control a giant Welsh D when I’m 5ft1 lol this is him took this last night

As a rule of thumb I was told to measure my foal's leg from ground to elbow(in inches) and then double that to give the approximate height at maturity.

I did that with all my foals and it wasn't far out. However I am not an expert in comparison to the experienced people on this board.
