How big will my 3 year old cob get!

I currently own a 3 year old chestnut sec D cob who stands at around 15.1/2 approximately. He is a very big chunky monkey and i would really like to know how big people think that he will get or wether he will not grow in height at all!

He probably won't be physically mature until 5 or 6. The chunky ones tend to mature more slowly. I would guess he probably has another hand or so in him - but some of them shoot up like wildflowers! I would be very surprised if he was already at his full height so young. Do you know the height of sire or dam?

I have no idea of the height of the sire or dam! But i can find out he is quite bum high at the moment but i have heard that cobs can remain bum high? He is a very chunky boy!

Try the string test (do a search on here), that will give you a pretty accurate idea of his final height.

I wouldn't have thought he'd get much bigger than that, he'll probably fill out a lot though!
