How can I make a rope halter taste horrible

I have a 2yo Welsh Sec C who just has to to get anything and everything in her mouth, she doesn't bite and never has done.

Putting a rope halter on her is a logistical nightmare, just when I think I've got it sorted miss rubberlips has managed to get hold of some part of it which prevents me from completing the task.

I would like to find something that I can soak the halter in which will put her off having it in her mouth, thereby curing herself as it were. I had thought of tobasco, but also thought that it might be too much ... bearing in mind that i will want her to accept a bit in the future.

Any ideas would be more than wecome

PS .. she regards cribbox as a seasoning for whatever it's spread on

This. If you take away (or make unpleasant) her dummy she will find something else, and it might be you! Youngsters need to mouth stuff - I knew a colt whose dummy was a dandy brush.

Or Cribox if you are neat and tidy and do things properly.
