I have aranged a date for Lucinda Green to come down to our yard and do some group lessons.

It would be in groups of 6 and a 2 hr lesson, I was thinking £45 for this?? Would you pay that?

And also we need to raise another £157 to pay for the fees etc, how can we do this!!! We have until August!!

Do you not think £45 is already alot?

Maybe it isnt, im not sure, I spose it is a 2hr lesson with Lucinda Green, quite rare!!

Is the £157 her fee for the day?

If it is you just divide that amount by everyone having the lesson.

Everyone should pay up in advnace so you have the money on the day she arrives. If they change their minds - tough. Unless of course their horse goes lame or drops dead!

I could charge £50 and that would make it more achievable, would only have to raise like £40 then.

But need to see if I can get 24 people to pay £50!

No the fee is much larger then that!!! That is what is left to pay her after everyone has paid £45 for the lesson.

But if everyone pays £50 there is only £40 to raise.

Your right about collecting it in advance, maybe 2 weeks or so b4

I think its too cheap. I think the majority of people pay £30 ish an hour for a normal lesson. So for 2 hours I would be looking at charging £60 plus as it Lucinda Green.

Personally I would have done my homework first before booking her to see how much people are willing to pay.

However, a two hour session with someone like Lucinda would be around the £90 quid mark So basically you still need to sit down with the the figures and cost it out per person by dividing the overall daily amount (say £500) divided by how many people are attending. The more people the less they pay.

I havent booked her yet!

There is no way I would pay £45 for 2 hours in a group of 6

- in a group of 6 you may get 30 mins one on one tuition, or you may get less if someone else needs more work - if however I was with a group that I knew were all the same ability then I may just pay it - just my view!!!

I have just paid £70 to have a 2hr clinic with Lucinda Green in July at Blackdown Hills (5 in a group I believe). I think this is fairly standard.

A BSJA jump trainer charges around £40 for 45 minutes-1 hr, I appreciate that that is a private lesson but do you not think that what you are charging is a little low for 2 hrs with Lucinda Green...........I would put up the price to cover the costs & do it now, tell the people why you have to raise the costs. Collect bthe money now, many people put their names down for things like this but when it gets to paying they pull out. Collect money asap, if people drop out you can find others but if you can't you still have time to cancel.

Works out at £55 per lesson would cover her fees, school fees for people who arent liveries and her petrol.

So is £55 ok then!?

I know you would pay around £30 for an hour lesson so £55 for two hours and with someone like her is quite good I think! Just need to make sure I can get 24 people before I book her!
