how clean should rugs come back from cleaner?

my two turn-our rugs came back with mud still on them and they smell. They do not apper to have been weatherproofed either. Was disapointed, but don't want to complain if this is normal.
When I placed a damp tissue against the dirty areas they came away soiled...

No, this isn't right!
I clean my rugs myself (have acess to a commercial washer) & am very upset if there'a any dirt left on them.
Would expect them spankingly clean, mended & looking as new as poss if paying for washing!!!

id be upset. mine come back sparkling, and i can smell the reproofing on them that my rug cleaner uses.
id be complaining if i were you

I would complain and send them back to be cleaned properly, I would'nt expect them to be re-proofed though unless I asked them to be.

Yes, definitely speak to them. Ours come back looking like new. Until the horses wear them that is!

Take them back and demand that they are re-done, They should look like brand new rugs, bar the few odd hairs that refuse to come off
