Had someone come over and try Ty out yesterday (potential sharer) and she was amazing!

Had him working in an amazing outline (I still struggle a bit but he's getting there for me) and then did a bit of jumping on him.....he went amazingly.

Went to bed feeling quite depressed......honestly feel sometimes that little horse has a lot of potential and needs to be with someone who can exploit it!

Pointless post really - hope that she wants to share him though - she could take him alot further than I ever could!

Well if she does come and share him maybe she can exploit him and you can be there for cuddles and normal horsey business!
Remember Ty doesnt care what he does, he just wants to graze probably lol xxx

Yeah - would be a good situation. I'd love to be doing up to 3ft on him, but will never take him further than that.....he's got alot of jump in him - must be the irish blood!

Look on the bright side he is getting there for you, with all your hard work it will pay off. Well that is what I keep telling myself

Good Luckxx

lots of us feel like that about our horses - sometimes they just want to show us from the ground what they look like when we rider them

we can't see how nice they look from the ground and I'm sure yours must look good - can't you ride somewhere with mirrors to cheer yourself up ?

as long as you try your best on your horse thats all u can do!! my horse gets schooled by someone whos competed at Badminton and Burghley, he goes ammaaaaazzzzzing with her and when i ride him i feel all disheartened! but then i think i have to try harder and den he and i will hopefully do great!! dont feel depressed!!!

Just think - he wouldn't have gone so well for that girl if you hadn't put the ground work in first - so pat on the back to you!

dont worry just because shes a better rider doesnt mean she has a better bond with him. your his mum at the end of the day.
this is the reason i wont have a half loan for my horse, ever i doubt!! id hate someone to ride her better but if she 'liked' them more than me id be gutted!!

Needs must though unfortunately - paying far too much livery so either need a sharer or get rid of him

I can't put him on DIY as I'm starting a job in London and I want to keep him....time to swallow my pride I guess.

i am very frightened that one day i will be in the same position and im no good at swallowing my pride!! good luck though atleast this person who tried him was nice it can be hard to find a good half loan sometimes!!

she hasn't got back to me though so i'm not sure she was 100%.

She wanted to put her saddle on him (made for her apparently) and I said 'no, not until I can get a saddle fitter out' as I don't have a clue and she was happy just to put it on.

maybe I came across a bit of a skitso owner but don't want his back buggered when he only had the physio out on Thursday......

I agree with Ravenwood - you've made him the horse he is - she just sat on him and made him look good (like Kate Moss would make my clothes look good - except they'd hang off her) lol
