I was trying to mount B on friday when she started fidgeting about. Not sure how it happened but she managed to get her hind foot on my ankle and squish it. My foot was fine....she didn't touch it, but I'm bemused as to how she managed to stamp on my ankle. And of course in true horsey style the minute she han my ankle under her foot she obviously stopped fidgeting and then wouldn't move!

It's now all swollen, black and blue...feeling pretty lucky she didn't snap it, but still confused at how she trod on my ankle and not my foot!

Anyone else suffered any 'how did that happen?' horsey injuries??

Ouch! That sounds really painful! I knew someone who broke their ankle in exactly the same way. She was trying to get on the horse spooked at a bird and stepped on her ankle! Hope you feel better soon!

Not so much an injury but it could have been nasty.......

Was in the field seeing the horses and I was wearing trainers, Figgy investigated them as he does everything and next thing I knew I was doing a handstand where he'd got hold of the lace and lifted me upside down

It hurts, rather a lot, but I managed to school her anyway, despite the pain, as owners wanted to see how well she was progressing. I'm just hoping it's more comfortable for my cliomb up mount snowdon next saturday!

Fizz that does sound rather funny!!
