did you just stick it on and leave them to it or gradually build up the amount of time? Horse has had it on for about 15 minutes in the yard and she wasnt bothered about it at all

We put it on our horse (Greenguard), adjusted it to fit correctly & put him in the paddock. Watched him for a few minutes & then left him. He can eat, drink without problems & it doesn't rub either. We can leave our horse out fornlengthy periods without worrying about his grass intake. We bring him in & there is no grass bloat & he's in fantastic condition.

Shetland got Shires one. Doesn't rub at all. didn't break her in to it, just put it on and she was fine, although it did take her a little time to realise she could still graze and drink, so just keep an eye on that.

Started mine on a Shires one yesterday. He walked round looking at me longingly, paced his field, dug at the ground with his front hooves, huffed and puffed; and then he realised that I wasn't giving in (not because I am cruel but because I care) and he started trying to rub it off on his leg (can't use fence as it's all electric). I watched him for 10 minutes and as soon as he put his head down once and caught some grass I was assured enough to be able to leave him. I was concerned about going over and finding he'd conveniently lost it in the stream, and lo and behold I did go over and find he'd managed to get it over one ear but it was still on. So today I tightened it slightly.

He wears full size and it has just enough room in it that means it doesn't rub. However, in his frantic attempts to rub it off yesterday, he did manage to rub his eye sore.

The farmer said he grazes fine in it. I think the less attention you give them, the better. If they want to eat then they will work it out.

LOL, years ago when they first came out we had a little grey pony who did EVERYTHING in his power to get rid of it!! Every day without fail we'd find it hanging off one side of his face while he stuffed as much grass into himself as possible..... ended up bringing him in during the day....

JUst put it on and kept an eye on her. Started with a Greenguard one, then moved to a Shires one to reduce her grass intake further. The Shires one does rub a little, but have lined it with fake sheepskin and seems O.K. now.

Put it on him and left him to it, watched him stand in the field looking ever so depressed then batter the other horses trying to get it off......several hours later he figured it out.

put it on George (a shires one) turned him out and kept an eye on him he stood for 5 hrs without once attempting to try and eat, so took it off. Made the hole a bit bigger, on the next day and head straight down no problems.
