Hi - as the title really. Interested to know how other horses show if they have an imbalance with the basic minerals?

My mare goes incredibly tense if she is short on magnesium but i suspect she may be short on something else at the moment so i am addressing it by starting a course of a electrolyte supplements and by power of deduction i will hopefully find out if we have an issue or not! :o

Following on as well - has anybody experienced any imbalances as a result of the late flush this year?

If i hadn't been proactive with my girl this year i'm 100% positive she would've been footy and she's got oak solid barefoot rock crunchers!

As post a couple below yours in veterinary section, electrolyte imbalance can manifest as 'thumps' or diaphram (sp.) flutter
