Hello everyone...Iw ant to start endurance and I know I can go along easily the scottish endurance clubs are very accessible but how do you go about getting a lift to events as I do not have a trailer. are people generally happy to lift share for petrol money type thing. I know it sound like a stupid question, but I have never really competed my own horses??

Contact your local group (or branch) and join in and make friends :) You'll find that if you start helping out and/or crewing for people, they'll be more likely to offer lifts to rides to get you started off - a bit of 'you scratch my back I'll scratch yours'. Or you might meet some people who are willing to go halves on a day's box hire or something.

Endurance people are generally really friendly, and the more friends you make the more likely you are to meet someone who will come to a mutually beneficial arrangement with you :)

Agree. if you want lifts, get involved wiht the group (help out at rides etc) before you expect anything back - it will give you a chance to learn what's involved too. Endurance riders are a friendly bunch so if you make the effort, i should work out. Enjoy!
