I am currently schooling my youngster but i am struggling to get any bend/flexibility from him and he is very numb to my leg any one got any exercises i can use with him?

why dont you find a really good instructor and have a couple of lessons and express/explain where your difficulties lie? on line is so difficult .. why is he numb to your leg? how old is he? how balanced? his confo? your abilities as rider? your experience? etc etc. a couple of lessons together would be money well spent .. and make sure you ask for easy exercises to do at home. good luck
My instructor used to have me doing a large circle then making it smaller then leg yielding out, I just used to do what she told me so it is a good idea to have some lessons
I like to work in on a long rien allowing them to stretch. Alongside this I practice doing half circles serpentines etc using my body weight, leg and no rien.
Something to ask yourself is are you looking where you are going ? I was always taught to turn first with you head then shoulders then hips. There is always a massive temptation to look down and a habit we can all slip into with out having someone to nag us from the ground, ths will be effecting your whole position.
