How do I get my grey white

My horses bum is stained with poo juice thanks to a feeding problem. Can any one recommend a product that will actually get the stains off his white hair. I have tried all the usual shampoos and sprays for getting rid of dung stains but its not shifting. Some one recommended using fairy liquid but not sure if I should put it on his skin!

There was a thread on this last week I think. Have you tried the search function? Some people use spray furniture polish on the horses rear end so the pooh slides off, I couldn't possibly comment.

Spray paint the horse a stable stain brown and tadah a clean horse!

Seriously though mine has a pre wash with tree tree shampoo whilst the tail and socks are soaking in superstain remover then a wash in extra strength shampoo.
Then mane and tail washed and scrubbed.
Rise with blue rinse whilst tail is in a bucket of glo white.

Then legs are painted with supreme white stuff in a tub and bandaged.
Tail conditioned and then sprayed and plaited.


Clean bed and clean rugs ........ And she's still covered by the time I get up in the morning!

I just use warm water with fairy liq in just .ike i would wash the dishes in the sink and clean the back end, and rinse off with warm water, once a week tail gets washed again with fairy, good ol fairy.

Sister recommends aloe vera washing up liquid - Fairy or Persil I think.Also Gallop extra strength. I do my grey with NAF wash and show, and for tails or really grubby bits I love Champion Tails Silver Highlight which is a purple shampoo.

My friend uses talcum powder on her horse to cover up any dirty spots just before a show. You can also buy chalk blocks to cover up grass stains etc Robinsons sell it quite cheap I think

best thing with a grey is to spot clean every day. if you leave stains theyre a b***er to get out but stay on top of them and they never get too bad,also a huge shavings bed that is always clean (i know thats practically impossible) helps loads.
i used to have a grey arab that lived out who scoured regularly and would scald his back legs if i didnt sponge him clean every day .i used to use dilute hibiscrub and that worked fine.

Anti bacterial fairy gets the stains out, then use the chalk paste on legs and bum where stains are bandage legs for over night, I even leave them on under travel boots and take them off at the show, invest in a tail bag too keeps tail nice and white.

We used Alto Lab shimering white shampoo on our grey. They also do a sray especially for poop/grass stains but cant remember the name of that one. It worked brilliantly for us. Also mixed chalk powder with water into a paste and painted it onto legs and then bandage. It would then brush off at the show when dried.
