i decided to look up my horse on the SJ ireland website thingy, and it comes up with a horse that sounds very like him...
similar facts on there to him are:
name (Pour Toi)
date of birth (94)
colour (grey)
gender (gelding)
Breed (ISH)
and the date works out as he was last registered in 2001, he was then registereed with BSJA in the girl i bought him off bought him end of 2002 and had him for 4 years, i bought him in 2006

BUT it says hes a pony

it says hes 148cm which hes not, hes 15.2hh, not sure what that is in cms.
he was registered with a Walter Reape... anyone know of him? Pour Toi competed at Ard Chuain EC which is where Walter Reape lived, so im geussing Pour Toi lived there too
how do i know if this is my horse, or just another very similar Pour Toi?
thank you

15.2hh is 158cm. It well could be your pony and they have got him measured down to get him in as a 14.2hh. Is he microchipped. Next time you have a vet on yard get them to run there micro chip scanner over his neck, might say on passport hes not got one but might well have one. Good luck in your search

I think it more than likely is your horse. There many ways to easily get a pony down. There are many things you could do to make a pony come down several centimetres. All the details are exact there is no need to ring. It more than likely is your pony. Walter Reape is a pony dealer in Ireland. In recent years he has owned some tops ponies such as Pappillion (ridden by Richard Howley) to name one and Mr Appleby (ridden by Conor McGovern)

did he have a passport when you bought him? If he was reg with sjai he prob has a blue passport that says irish horse register on front cover?

Theres a very likely chance that this is your horse. In some places in the South there is no problem measuring a big pony. Reape is a very big dealer in Ireland and sells alot of ponies. There is no way of knowing whether or not the horse you saw on the website was yours but it probably is.
