How do I put pictures in my signature?

OK, I may be incredibly dumb but I've hunted around and can't figure out how to put a photo under my profile name and at the bottom of posts I make in the forum.....can anyone help?

User CP, Settings and Options, Edit Avatar or Edit Signature.

Pics for sigs are advised to be no bigger than 700 x 200 pixels
