Please help!
My horse has damaged the breezeblock wall in his stable. The blocks are halfway up the wall with a metal grid on top- he's made the row below the grid loose. My husband is going to fix it tomorrow but I'm worried he's going to do it again!
I know he's doing it to aggravate the horse in the next stable, and is worse if she's eating when he isn't but as he's already fat after having 2months off due to injury and history of lami I can't keep topping him up with hayledge.
I've made a large bank on that side and tied buckets to the grid but is there anything else I can do?

Cover up the grill with a large sheet of MDF or similar.. you can probably get some cheap cuts.. will stop mare getting stressy and him pushing her buttons!

Breeze blocks aren't brilliant - lots of stories if them tumbling down!

Agree with Tern's idea. When stabled like this my tb used to bite the bars at feed time. Used Mdf and cable ties to cover the grill and then she was fine. Cheap and easy to do :)

Why don't you change to hay? A horse with a history of lami shouldn't really be getting haylage... haylage is the last thing you should give a horse on boxrest as it's sky high in sugar.

At least if he is busy eating hay constantly then he is less likely to be stressed and trying to cause himself a mischief.
