How do I put a picture in the side bit (by my name)

and also piccies down the bottom with a signiture (of some sort)

. I always think my posts look kinda boring

the avatar one has to be really really tiny, i haven't managed to get 1 small enough yet!
as for the siggy, if you ask very nicely someone will make one for you (as i did, because i'm useless!) or you can do it yourself with Paint.net, which is free and pretty easy...
