Hoping for drier days
Maisie has had some sort of allergic reaction. Not sure if it was flea bites as no evidence of them on her but she has reacted before.
Anyway, booked vets appointment for her this evening. You know when it's tea time as she's in. But no, not tonight!!!! Flipping cat nowhere to be seen. Rang surgery to say couldn't find cat and maybe delayed. Now this cat visits an old couple down the road. So I popped round to see if she was there, she had been but had since gone.
Gave it a few more minutes then phoned them back to say could we rearrange. Made another appointment for tomorrow. Within a few secs, there was a knock at the door, old lady standing there with Maisie in her arms. Thanked her profusely and lobbed moggy unceremoniously into cat basket and sent hubby on his way with cat and kids!
I think the funniest time we had with cats and vets was with our old cat Mogwi. He was lame, so we'd got him in the basket and he escaped and ran off down the road. I was ill at the time so it cheered me up as hubby was fuming. The vets said it happened regularly!
