my girl has been in for 2 days now but i see alot of u r still turning out and i dont wanna get to the stage of her going crazy cause she,s been in tooo much so how do u stop the snow building up in there feetor dose it not seem to bother them iv just been walking her out and she gets huge clumps inher feet

I've tried everything! I did try WD40 this morning, and by the time I had walked down to the field with them, there was snow in the feet but not balling, so hopefully that works!

Otherwise barefoot!

Goose grease or the fat from the Sunday joint with some salt in it - cheap and works very well, just use plenty.

Alternatively shoes off - mines don't wear them and have no problems in this weather.

mirror those that have said vaseline or any grease - make sure you put it all on the soles and shoes too... get a big tub! lol!

I tried vaseline for the second time yesterday and it did work. It was the equivalent of those little 'slippers' they have on in the morning if they've been stabled overnight, which then fell out once they got to that stage, and never made it to the actual 'stilts' stage. I had to use LOTS though, the first time when i just smeared a bit round it was useless.

I pack Jeds full of fresh poo from his stable! Works every time. You have to press it in hard to make sure it doesnt fall out but it really works a treat.
