I have a tense mare,when relaxed she works lovely,long&low,nice&round.But 97% of the time,she pulls or leans on bit,if i give 4 her to relax & go lower,she raises her head,so should i keep more of a firm even contact and only give if she does???as its becoming frustrating,she pulls more than she gives and i keep givin & retaking&not gettin any better dressagge marks. I do have lessons,and hes fab,but just looking 4 sum ideas from u lot who may hav the same probs!!! i only ride in a KK snaffle,never use gadgets or drawn reins,but always up 4 ideas IF it helps us.thanks.And yes,i use lots of leg&wont pull her mouth,maybe im too givin wiv my hands&she takes the biscuits.
