how do ur horses say hello??

whenever i go up to see my horses in the morning and at night, all i have to do is shout of whistle and they come charging down the field squeeling and bucking, genuinely looking happy to see me, (could be wrong tho mind u ) always get a big cuddle from each and my big girl even lowers her head so i can get her headcollar on lol!!!

how do ur horses say hello to u when u arrive???

As I live at the yard during the summer they start whinnying at me when they hear me get up - their field is at the back of my cottage so they hear me moving!!

The drive to my horse's yard runs alongside the field he's in at the moment. He hears my car coming and is at the gate by the time I get there. With 10 other liveries, god knows how he know which car is mine, but he does!

I'm never sure whether it's me they're happy to see or they are happy at the possibility of food!!

Our two stand rock still in the field staring at us with that 'Oh no, now we're going to have to do some work' look on their faces.

Mind you, they do allow us to walk up to them, give them treats and make a fuss of them, very magnanimous!

I recognised Tia amongst all the bays from a distance the other day with her back to me just from the way her ears and head changed when she heard my voice, it was like 'Oh god..it's her..stand still, she might not see you..don't...move.. don't move....'

mine sorts of whinnies half wonders over and then realises that its a mistake because he is now going to be ridden

But i get hugs (he rests his head on my shoulder) and then usually starts trying to take my wellies off my feet

when i walk along the hallway in the morning the floor creeks and my horse gives a little neigh , when i open the front door the neighing get louder and louder and she twists her neck around the stable door and wall to watch me walking over to her . very cute.

Minstral takes a moment to scrutinize what I may or may not be holding from a distance, then so long as it's not tack he'll whicker at me loudly and come trotting down. Headcollars are fine as there's a chance we might be going foraging along the nice clover verge.

The pony (Shetland companion) always gallops down to me.

They're kept at home so if they're near the house and I come out, then I get hollered at and heaven forbid if I fail to acknowledge The Min first. Major whinnying and stropping if I head the other way or go into the garage, etc!!!
