I need to work out a sort of "plan" because otherwise Ill just end up going blindly and either going too fast or dawdling along! And I lose motivation!!
So, Jimmy was ridden up to the end of November, but towards the end I was really struggling with time (dark nights, this will still be an issue now but obviously we'll be riding shorter amount of time to start with) so he was doing maybe an hour gentle hacking, walk and trot maybe 3 days a week. So he wasn't fit.
I need a plan of how to bring him back up to fitness.
The plan is to be able to do fun rides starting around March time. And then over summer I want him to be fit enough to jump and do some dressage. Last year we got up to 55cm showjumping, as he's only 5. So this time I need to get up to that height earlier on in the year so we can go higher.
So, will start Saturday with just a half hour walk out.
