I'm putting my pony that I've had for almost three years on loan to a really good friend of mine. I know she will be absolutely fine, well looked after and probably much happier as she will have more time time to take her out competing, she known her as long as i have. But I'm going to miss her so much! How do you cope with it? I keep worrying how she will settle as whenever she has moved shes had me, i know this is stupid but i keep thinking of black beauty not getting to day goodbye to ginger so i'm worried about them not saying goodbye to each other, and her feeling abandoned! How silly am I, how do you cope? I know I'm not selling and I can get her back at sometine and visit. But I'm going to be really sad!

I don't think you're being silly - it's quite natural I suppose. She'll make new friends and won't feel abandoned. So long as you're happy with her new 'home' then all will be well. I'm sure you'll all be fine
