How do you keep a dog on 'box rest' who doesn't play with toys entertained for a week.

Jack is scared of his treat ball, won't go near a kong, doesn't play with toys and although not high energy so won't be bouncing of the walls he'll get bored in the house for a week. He plays with me, wrestling, but that's not going to do his leg any good.

Oh and he's on a weightless program so he's going to have to have his food reduced to compensate for not having his two walks

Ideas?

I hope you mean weightlOss, I have an image of Jack floating around your living room in a space suit

When B was on his, I left him with a Nylabone tug rope and an Airkong rope tug.
He was happy enough to lie and sleep all day but he did give us a few heart attacks by trying to jump up and mug visitors for treats.

You could hide things on him and ask him to find them? Leave the telly or radio on for him.

There are puzzle toys which you can get (can't remember the name of the manufacturer) but if he isn't into a treat ball he might not like these either.

Lol....yes weightloss! In my defence I'm sleepy, my brain isn't working today!

I've dug out his tennis ball shapes and he seems a happy dog chewing on them occasionally and sleeping lots. He is a laid back character (doesn't exactly ask for his second walk of the day

) I might pop and get him a new nylabone too.
