I have a welsh section A pony who i would love to find out a bit more about his breeding. I have a passport but can't seem to find anything online about his sire or dam? Would love to see a picture of them is there anyway of doing this? Would the welsh society hold information like this?

Opened the passport and looked :p ;)

Do you know the name of the stallion/dam? Might be worthwhile posting in the lost/stolen/tracing section of the forum. Good luck :)

There was a website that you could put any horse's registered name in and out would pop their breeding. My pony, for example, was bred at a stud, is a registered sec D and her breeding is known for at least 9 generations either side but on her passport it says even breed unknown never mind sire and dam. When passports came in I was out of the country and she was on loan to a riding school so she just has a cheapie passport not a WP&CS one. I haven't bothered to change it as I'm not into showing and she's 23, so fat chance I'll ever breed from her. I know she's bred three foals because I once rung the society and asked, but I'm certainly not interested enough to pay for a new passport. I was sore enough about paying the first one.
If I find the website that has her breeding on it I will post a link, as it has all breeds, not just welshies.

Thank you that would be great. I have posted a thread with his sire and dam on the trace/stolen/lost page. I'm new to showing, breeding etc but would like to know more about him.
