Can anyone advise whether a Waterford Baucher should be fitted longer than the horse's normal bit? I know the general rule for a Waterford mouthpiece is that it should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer than the horse's normal bit, but I wondered if this also applies to a baucher, as it has an 'eggbutt' type ring?
