I have a 20 year old pure arab who, like most horses, loves his food!!! But on the odd few occasions he has had to have bute or antibiotics, I have always struggled to make sure he gets the full dose! Putting it in his food didn't work as he may have had a couple of mouthfulls and then just turn his nose up at it! Even tried adding some molasses to the feed and that didn't work either  Anyway, because a lump has now appeared on his neck that the vet thinks is muscle damage, he's now on a course of bute for about 10 days, but fingers crossed, we seem to have found the solution, thanks Al! He has garlic powder every day in his feed, so the bute gets mixed with the garlic into a paste and then added to his feed. He still knows there's something not quite right, but he just about eats the lot! :D :D :D

I'm now curious if anyone has had the same problem and what your solutions were?

I have the same problem - I mix it with water and syringe it. If you hold your finger over the end and shake it really well you don't get any clogging up the end
