I used to have a normal loose ring snaffle and it was 2 big could not find the right size so I got a jointed happy mouth every since then he has been chucking his head and crossing his jaw he is not like this normally! have had his teeth done would you think it is because of the change in bit??

wouldnt worry too much about it being too big. My mare hates anything jointed and my Youngster hates anything straight. They soon let me know!!!!

yes most likely as both are signs he is evading a contact.

My lad chucks his head round or backs off from a contact when he doesnt like his bit. My first port of call when he starts this is to get his teeth checked and then start playing with bits.

I had his teeth done and they were not to bad only changed the bit as it was a bit to big then the happy mouth french link was to small so I got the jointed. I really thought I was going mad hope he is better tonight!!
