Fell off pony tonight

Don't want to go to hospital really.

Fell onto my left arm and now, whilst I have full movement in it without pain if I keep moving it, it feels 'heavy' and tingly.

Do you reckon that it is just the impact that has kind of stunned the nerves or do you think I should get it checked out? Not got any sharp pain in it so don't reckon it is broked!!!

I fell off once and landed on my shoulder and was in agony. Couldnt move my arm more than a few inches so went to hospital, was xrayed and had done my ligaments in but no break. It took about 3 weeks to get right.
I would be suprised if yours is broken as you have full movement but the tingliness sounds odd. Id consider getting it checked out just incase.

Yes I would get it checked - you may not have broken it and the inflammation/bruising may be pressing on the nerves causing the tingling and reduced circulation can be causing the heaviness. Take some ibroprufen to reduce the inflammation and go and get it looked at - if you are not in an y real pain then you could leave it until the morning but I would rest it and wiggle your fingers to keep the circulation going!

No everything is pointing in the right direction!! and no bones poking out.

I'm managing to type this no bother so don't think there is anything to worry about, maybe just stiffning up after being crushed under my body weight???

If there is no pain then I would say no it isn't broken however I would suggest you get it checked over if you are worried. Fortunately both my parents are surgeons so I just get them to poke at it a bit and they usually tell me Ill live and send me back to muck out!

Go to the A&E & they can check you over, just because there doesn't appear to be a break doesn't mean there isn't one. Additionally there may be tendon, ligament or nerve damage. It's better to get treatment immediately rather than leave it for a while & then go, the prognosis will be better.

I broke my arm very badly it didnt hurt for a good three hours. I was in such shock I couldnt do anything, just sat there, it was liked I was knocked out but awake. Best to get checked out if it is really hurting

Remember Mrs Mozart? She broke her elbow and didn't get it looked at until about a week or so after doing it - naughty Mrs M xxx

If your arm is tingling I would get it checked out - doesn't sound right to me.

Hope it isn't and you are ok.

xxx

Yes, have stretched it out all ways without being in too much pain.

Think my arm is just in shock

I landed on very soft school so didn't hit hard ground. Think it is just my weight landing on it that has hurt it.

Funnily enough, it's not as sore as it was last week after I spent all day painting my bedroom!! That must be a good sign??

I would get it checked out to be honest.

I've recently broken my leg and since I broke it 12 days ago I have taken just 2 paracetamol, so yes breaks can be quite painless! (However, I have to have it pinned tomorrow, so I guess it will be more painful after that!!!)

see how it goes, id personally NOT go to a and e. i see dont point.. *says she sat here with broken rib, and she that is still mucking out/lunging etc*

being sensible.. problem is with broken bones if you dont rest they just take longer to heal, and can mend incorrectley (note again. doesnt listen to self)

When I broke my elbow I didn't want to go to hospital... then I ended up with an elbow that looked like someone had glued half a tennis ball to it and it went rather an odd colour... (didn't hurt except for the bruising!) so got dragged to a&e... 2 days later had the surgery to pin a fragment of my funny bone back in place O.o
It was the least funny thing ever at the time... xD
So better to get it checked - it could always be fractured or something like that... better to know for certain really...
