when you have seen a horse is it the one that you fall in love with who is stunning but might not do everything you wanted him for?

or do you hold out for the one that will tick all your boxes?

I tend to choose a horse with my heart & blinded by the horse & tend to end up with a horse I feel sorry for, wheres my daughter is more practical & says he is not what you was looking for & you should wait for the right one

will I know when I see the right horse for me

does anyone else have this problem?

Well I'm not very picky so if I'm looking for a riding horse then as long as it's sound and rideable, if I like it I'll buy it. Then comes the finding out what it can do, the strengths and weaknesses, what work it enjoys and I take it from there. If however you've gone out looking for a show jumper and found a horse eg who is scared of coloured poles, then however perfect the horse is otherwise you'd still be daft to buy it when show jumping is your dream. Unless you plan to spend most of your horse time staring at it in the field, looks wouldn't top my list of requirements. You need to be clear in your own mind what you want the horse for and how flexible you're prepared to be with those aims. Life brings enough trouble to your door without going out looking for it. Don't buy heartbreak. Buy something that will make you smile every day.
