Looking for advise on how people level their schools. Ours is a mixture of sand and rubber (outdoors). Despite my best efforts I just don't seem to be able to get it even all over i.e. some areas end up deeper than others. What 'tools' do you use and what shape/direction do you go in?

we have a harrow and a 4x4. To do the corners we usually manouevre it between a group of us into the corner and then 4x4 tows it to level.

Level it in circles not up & down which creates ridges. Power harrow, chain harrow, something with cultivator tines + roller, gate; whatever you can get our hands on. You can hire equipment if you look round which may help.

I bought my Keep a Level from ebay - about £300 - but it has proved to be a lifesave. I pull it behind a quad - again bought second hand. Worthwhile investments. I have a little tipping trailer that I pull behind the quad for poo picking the fields.

Perhaps if you have some friends in the areas with arenas - you could consider pooling your resources.
