OK this is probably a silly question but here goes....

I want to sell my saddle but am not sure how to work out what the seat size is. I have had the following suggestions from people on my yard but which, if any(!), are correct??

1) Measure in a striaght line from the pommel to the cantle so that from the side the tape measure makes a semi-circle with the seat rather that measuring along the seat. Hope this makes sense!

2) Meassure along the seat from pommel to cantle.

3) Measure from one of the studs above the flap for the stirrup bar to the middle of the cantle.

Or is it non of the above?!

Also, what other (if any) measurements would I need to give?

Thanks.

From front of stud above the saddle flap(to the side of the pommel) in a straight line wth the tape taut, to the centre of the rear of the cantle.
