Was allowed to get back on my TB today but just staying in walk and a little bit of trot and he has always gone into an outline but he isn't consistent in it. Am wondering whether you think he looks ok or whether he is over bent, i am going for lessons on him but wondering if there is anything i can do in walk for.
Does he look ok or have we got it completely wrong? lol

that was quick!

its harder to tell when they aren't moving but I would say in that pic that he isn't behind the bit but he looks tight in his neck rather than relaxing over the top if that makes sense.

He is a smart boy though

he feels pretty tense am trying to get him to soften a bit don't have any of him moving as my mum cut his head off em all lol

Lovely looking horse but personally i would put his noseband and bit up 1 or 2 holes, lots of long and low work with him swinging through his hindquaters and he'll come on a treat!

He's a tad over behind and ideally the poll should be the highest point but if he's not been ridden for a while then he's not going to be perfect anyway, I'd ride with a longer rein to encourage him to relax through the poll and down the neck.

he looks much more relaxed in that last picture. he looks extremely tense and tight in the original photo, and is a little overbent. Would agree with kenzo, re the rein.
