Another old woman here. I imagine I come across as not particularly knowledgeable. Although I've had ponies for over 40 years (ouch) , things have changed so much I am learning all the time. My daughter is certainly more technically knowedgeable than me, tho I am better on basic horse sense. I am prepared to state my opinions more on the dog forum having bred, shown and judged German Shepherd dogs for over 30 years.
God, i don't want to know!!! I know that some people like me but i get the impression some people despise me! Think those people probably think i am a stuck up, spoilt brat that thinks she knows alot but really knows b**g*r all about horses.
To those people can i just say that i don't know that much, i only go on what I'm told by my friend..... And i hope I'm not a spoilt brat
I wouldnt have a clue how people see me on here, perhaps the old woman with the funny name
I do try to give advice, particularly on the vet page where I can be helpful. I do worry about people on here, even though I dont know you. For instance, when Junior had a suspected broken leg, I worried all night until his owner posted the awful news. I worried about FMN, even though I dont usually answer her posts.
Think I have at times a risque sense of humour, particularly after a couple of glasses of Shiraz. That is when I miss Ereiam_SJ
I can confirm everyones thoughts about Partoow. She is abso fab but not at all scarey in RL. I cant possibly give away her real name, but I call her 'Princess', and walk backward out of the room
I'm the same. I'm quite happy being a riding school client, I currently have a very good instructor and ride a variety of horses and still go on riding holidays for lots of fun hacks and for the other side of things. I know it will probably be a few more years until I am in a position to have my own horse. Until then I will carry on as I always have done, asking lots of questions, watching people and reading the posts on here and the advice given to others about the things I don't know about.
Oi think i need to by you a wooden spoon!! either that or you have spent FAR too long on that muckheap of yours!!!
I see you as a mad, funny dedicated person who i am SO going to make work without stirrups!!!
As for Carthorse and Rafi truely 'good' people who it is a pleasure to work with. Both of you have your hearts in the right place[ some where in the middle of the chest!!].
Its is a pleasure to be on here and get access to people and views that i may not otherwise get the opportunity to see/ hear. It also gives me the chance to express view without worry what may be concluded in 'political' terms. Now i am someone who does not make sense!

That when I post on horse related threads, how the hell would I know because I'm just a riding school client and why would I know anything at all? Oh and only ridden stiff cobs without making it into canter
[/ QUOTE ]
we don't ALL think that, you know
[/ QUOTE ]
I know not everyone thinks that and I know it sounds like I have a chip on my shoulder about it - I really don't. The fact is that a lot of people on this forum really look down on those of us who just ride at riding schools and have never had our own horses - as seen by the number of threads slating riding schools, their horses and their clients
[/ QUOTE ]
I run a riding school, so but have seen anyone really slate us.... maybe the odd time but I don't thnk people think that way...
No idea how I am viewed.,.. probably mad as a brush, stupidly blonde but ok. Maybe... I don't often give advice as I don't think i know a lot about much to do so. i generally sympathise or nod in agreement.

Patches I like you because you are not afraid to ask as many people as you can about something which might be bothering you - THAT I applaud.
No-one knows every answer to every question, and clever people ask for lots of people's opinions on things
. I also think that you are pretty amazing in that you have read and absorbed far more in your short time with horses, than some people ever learn in 20 years of horses!
I am also so thankful that someone gets my sense of humour!!!

See I often baulk at asking questions on forum for fear of being seen as stupid/ridiculous
So I have to agree with you reatches
I don't know how I am perceived on here, not really sure that I care too much either
.....and there are those on here that I would ask(privately) for advice well before considering asking on forum simply because I respect their knowledge and opinions etc.
don't think anyone really 'views' me at all on here...as i am normally the last person on any post. Should this tell me something i wonder?
Bit of a wall flower too; posts probably dismissed out of hand, if noticed. same with advice.
Am i like this in real life? No, not as reserved-unfortunately cannot read/delete/reword conversations i have like i can this. My mouth operates way before my brain most of the time due to age and wine consumption!
