Hi all :)

As title, how do you warm up after coming back from horses with snow? In preparation for Friday where it looks like I'll have some white stuff

I think I'm thinking PJ's, duvets, and hot chocolate...:)

I am not actually cold when i come in. keep moving about at the yard, we put both horses on the walker, take them off then put them the other way, muck out, hay and hay for tom, have chat, chase dog around, sweep and salt walker, get feeds ready straw down and put to bed. also have t shirt, musto thick sweater, and new caldene hamilton jacket and waterproof trousers on and thick socks and we were toasty.

When I go into the house I open both both Aga oven doors and sit on a little stool and put my feet in the bottom oven ( I do take off my boots)
Want to come to supper anyone ?

Hot bath or sit in front of the fire. Just make sure I get changed first as sitting around in wet or damp clothes is what gives me a cold. Then get a nice hot drink and some tv or a good book. Failing all this just get in bed with some sort of animal such as a nice moggy (hot water bottles also work) Warmest place in my house at the moment!

My fire burns all winter. It never goes out so our house is always very warm. I have appropriate clothing for the temperatures we get and I'm never usually cold outside so I don't have to warm up when I get indoors as I'm already warm.

Tbh I'm normally too hot when I get in from the yard - its the short drive up there in a freezing cold car that doesn't have a chance to warm up I struggle with!
...pj's still go on when I get in tho!
