How exactly do you wash Thermatex leg wraps?

I read lots of reviews of people having those for 10+ years and they still looking new... But mine came out tatty just after first wash  Followed all the instructions on the label but somehow binding shrunk; I can't reshape it back in place. Also velcro stuck to everything it could (mainly binding) and fluffed it up the fabric a lot so looking very naff now. Am I missing some obvious trick here?

Sounds like it was too hot a wash?

Wash mine with the velcro done up at 30 degrees.
Don't tumble dry - I dry them on the rail of the rayburn
Had mine over 10 years and barring some snags in the fabric, they look great.

What temperature did you wash at? Make sure all the velcro is done up or it will stick to everything else and bobble. If you have a wash bag use that. I do mine at either 30c or 40c. Dry naturally.

I do the Velcro up, making sure that there’s no spikey side exposed
Then I put in a wash bag
And wash at 30 (delicate wash).

This really got me thinking what? and googling photos of of other thermatex wraps... The ones I have, it's impossible to not to have the spikey side exposed, even with everything done up. Spikey side is about double size of no-spikey one. They were factory seconds and I never figured what's wrong with them, but now I know :) I guess the the way forward will be to put each wrap in individual wash bag to stop them sticking to each other, thanks for the suggestion!

I washed them at 40c as per label. They did come out beautifully clean I must admit, but I'll lower it to 30 next time.
