After a chat with my vet, I started to wonder how far people go with their vettings? Im just interested to know peoples attitudes towards them.
After losing my youngster Solo to stifle OCD, I feel the need to almost go the whole way with my next pony purchase, so will be asking for xrays as dont want to get hurt again. My vet had the attitude that everyone should at least get the basic set of 24, but it had not even occured to me before, but its expensive at £350 (without call out)
So obviously it would also depend on value of horse, but there isnt really any value you can put on the upset that can happen, so thats the last time ill buy a horse without one.
Anyone had a horse fail on xrays? or wished they had got them?
