How far do you travel to your stables?

Got my own small yard and field which is 5 miles and in opposite direction to work. Got 3 which live out most of the time. I get fed up with the to and fro so pay for someone to do them for me 3/4x week so I don't go up there twice a day everyday.

Our livery is 3 or 4 away miles I think.

Even though we could buy land, I like to keep my mare at a livery and don't mind at all the inconvenience of having to leave the OH sat at home:D.

It might be a dream for many, but it's not for me I'm afraid. The thought of having my own place and being by myself horrifies me and I'm sure my mare wouldn't be to chuffed either!

Right now about 100 yards but from next summer, when they are at home, they will be at the end of the garden!!

However they have been A LONG WAY away in the past, up to 50 miles each way (thankfully it was mostly motorway!)

If I'm going to the farm straight from work then it's about 2 miles, but if I'm going straight from home then it's about 15 miles!

WOW Lots of lucky people with their horses in the back yard  lol

Mines currently 5 miles down the road on part livery. It's on a main road so doesn't take me long at all! It goes straight through the forest though so you have to be carefull with the deer especially when it's dark

15 miles, although he's on part livery during the Winter I still go twice a day. I work from home, so see it as my "commute" so don't mind travelling that far

Oh I am so jelous of all of you with your neds at home!! :(
Mine are 20 mins drive away. Better than it was, but still wish they were closer!

I think it is about 11 miles it takes about 20 mins or 25 if i stick to the speed limit lol, last yard was 12 miles but the traffic was always bad so it took about 25 mins with no traffic and up to 40 mins or sometimes even an hour with traffic!
