Having just got back from a fantastic lesson with my trainer I was just wondering how far people travel for their lessons. For me it was an hour there and another hour back, with a 1hour-1hour30mins lesson when I got there, it costs about £15-20 in diesel plus £15 for the lesson. However my trainer is brilliant and I get loads out of my lessons so I feel it's worth it! How far do you or would you travel for your lessons?

Ummm - about 3 and a half hours

But that's to go to my old trainer who I have a great relationship with, plus she has been helping above and beyond with my 4yo.

I'd go more locally but haven't found anyone I like

The downside is I'm lucky if I go every 3 months, so it's not exactly keeping me on my toes.

My dressage trainer is an hour and a half each way and my jumping trainer nearly 2. Guess that is the disadvantage of living in Cornwall. Both will occasionly come down and teach but not often.

. Live in Perthshire and have been asked to go to Boomerang for team training for this CIC** comp next year. This is the second time I have made the trip. Went down in June but also managed to fit in Longleat! Leave on Tuesday morning at about 6am and stay overnight Tues. Have lesson on Wednesday and come straight back up ready for the office job on Thursday at 8.30am!!

180 mile round trip. Takes hours ...

Unfortunately can't find anyone as good locally (and I've tried!) but tend to go less than I used to and once a year take horse and stay for a week.

I'm lucky and only have to go 15 mins up the road, but i used to drive a good 45 mins - 1 hour to get to have a lesson, it would cost me £20 diesal and £40 for a lesson so i could only have 1 a month but now it costs me £10 diesal for two trips and £22 for a lesson so i can have one a fortnight.
